Bus Times by Text can give you estimated arrival times by text message! This uses the “short message service” (SMS) that’s available on most mobile phones, but first you need to know your "stop ID" and what to text.
Each bus stop will have a unique bus stop identifier code.
It starts with "BFR" for Breckenridge Free Ride.
These new signs will be placed on each Free Ride bus stop.
No doubt that you will have your frequent stops that you will use. To aide you in having a reference sheet for your stop codes, we have developed a cheat sheet for you to jot your most used stop codes on. Download your cheat sheet for wallet size or pocket size here. That way you can take your stop codes with you and text without having to be present in front of the bus stop sign.
A complete list of Free Ride bus stops and the unique identifier codes is available here.
How do I text this system?
It's as easy as 1-2-3
1. Find your stop ID.
2. Text "BFR [stopID]" to 41411
Be sure to text the word "BFR", a space, and then the
actual stop ID number, such as "BFR 212" (without quotes).
3. Receive estimated arrival times in a return text message.
*Important note: Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier first. If you need help, e-mail us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The text system utilizes the same data as the "Where's My Bus?" system. There is a slight delay of data transmisison through the internet. Please arrive at least 3 minutes ahead of the estimated arrival time at your bus stop. That is the only way to guarantee your ride.
This new SMS-Text system is brought to you through our collaboration with the Breckenridge Ski Resort.
